Jack Black is Back!
I have been a SNL fan my whole life...who couldn't apreciate the "not ready for prime time players" in all their glory and diversity over the years...and yet I must confess that I stopped watching new episodes regularly(or reruns at ALL) awhile ago.2 years at least.I do tune in if I sense a possibility of being entertained, as I was expecting this weekend from what I would consider an epitome of a true talent..Jack Black.
I wasn't disappointed....
By far the best monologue that I have seen in awhile...Jack can carry the stage with his presence and still chooses to give me my money's worth with song, dance, AND humor. Not too shabby.
Fine acting and genuine talent are hard to come by these days and Jack is a diamond in the rough.
I managed to find some clips on the web so don't take my word for it...
Here is a link to download the monologue...
Jack Black's "King Kong Song"
...and another for all his sketches last weekend...
SNL Skits
And out of sheer neurosis...the lyrics for "King Kong" and "Lazy Sunday"...and incredibly funny sketch from the same episode
I should probably add a link to the sketch...enjoy.
peace
